Friday night leftovers!

Welcome to the 4th (personal--do I get a prize when I get to 10??) edition of the lovely Danired's over at Sippy Cups Are Not For Starbucks Friday night leftovers. Where we get to Clean out the refrigerator of life and tell you whats new with us:

So, Monday brings on the new baseball season...now surely you all have heard me mention that I love baseball. For some people baseball is well its that annoying game that takes up too much time for guys to run around the bases. For me baseball is this:
For me baseball is this too:
And even though he wears the wrong uniform, this:
Baseball while these are great (and hot) this is my REASON for baseball:

This is my all star, my guy who will someday be a professional (at least in my eyes). AJ has played baseball since he was 5 years old, one of the first words this little boy could say as he would pretend to pitch and bat was "BASEBALL" oh yes. That is my reason for baseball, I may complain about 100 degree games but I will be there. I may complain that my life is taken over by it, but I love every second of it.

Monday starts the professional baseball season, I root (1/2 the season with a bag over my head) for the New York Mets, but then when February hits I get all fluttered and excited.. I start a count down! I know BASEBALL is on the return. I start watching baseball movies (My son can recite the entire section of insults hurled at the two boys in the first Sandlot movie)

Yep, here it comes.. PPPPPLLLLLAAAAYYYYY BBBAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!! Just remember please..
there is NO Cryin' in baseball!!

Aww.. Love it! My little man is my reason for loving baseball too! It's hot out there and it sure does seem to consume our lives lately, but it's worth every second to see that smile! Have a great weekend!

We're not big baseball fans in our house, but I am looking forward to what baseball season means... warm evenings, beers and summer fun!
